Advocacy

What is advocacy? To be an advocate is to be more than a cheerleader for a particular cause. For the Greater Richmond Age Wave, it means educating the community and policy makers about the complexities of the age wave, supporting programs and resources that make greater Richmond a great place to grow old, and changing the perceptions that surround aging and elderhood. This year, our advocacy efforts are focused on housing, workforce, and transportation.
