Based in a city with major transportation limitations, Uzurv offers not only a solution but a fabulous service: Your own personal driver. That's why the Greater Richmond Age Wave is working to help our Global Startup Search local winner, a transportation network company reservation service, reach the next round in the competition.
The highest ranked companies will get to compete in the finale event at the Aging2.0 OPTIMIZE conference in San Francisco October 12-14.
At the Richmond event, Trish Fitzpatrick, vice president of corporate outreach for Uzurv, pitched the company as a way to connect older adults with transportation network services such as Uber and Lyft through advance reservations. Users can develop relationships with drivers, and schedule rides to and from rural areas that might not usually receive service – aspects that Fitzpatrick hopes will appeal to older customers.
