Longevity Clinic
From the desk of Dr. E. Ayn Welleford, Longevity Project co-lead:
We are on the path of "work that is real."
Authenticity is a theme that comes to mind as I listen and begin to put down roots as Gerontologist for Community Voice and Longevity Clinic Director.
Our Longevity Clinic is creating spaces where students bridge classroom and community to make longevity equity real. Students serve in various roles of advocate, researcher, educator to support elderhood that is marked by authenticity, belonginess, and being in flow with one's own sense of self. The Longevity Clinic supports student-community efforts aiming to create great places and spaces for all people to grow older. Spaces for students, spaces for our workforce, spaces for our elders and future elders, in other words, all of us as aging people.
